Petroglyph Valley, Bir Hima

This wadi at Bir Hima preserves a rich assemblage of petroglyphs in an unusual concentration. The rock art here displays a wide variety of subjects, including animals, humans, and Alia figures, reflecting multiple phases of cultural activity. This may have once been an important watering hole.

This GigaPan is made from 84 photographs taken with the Canon Powershot G10. The original image is 563 megapixels and 1570 megabytes.
